Dec 2005

Joe and I have a hard time agreeing on what our new little darling shall be called. We've said that we would like to a have a "somewhat" Americanized name but I still keep going back to the beautiful Asian names. If you'd like to vote on a name, please feel free.

March 2006

Corrine Clare (Chinese Name) Cotter

In the beginning, here were the contenders.........

Lia Mei Cotter (Mei (may) means plum) (MeiMei also means little sister, kind of overused)

Lian Yin Cotter (means silver lotus)

Lien (means graceful willow or lotus)
This is my favorite name, it just keeps popping into my mind
Update: I was cleaning out the attic and found my old coffee table book of Chinese watercolor...the author's name is Lian... it's a sign.

Li Li or Lilli (Li means strong & beautiful) Lili or Lillie (nah, too overused)

Luci Clare Cotter

Sen (tall tree) Li Sen (would they call her "Sin"?)

Celia An Cotter (An means peace)

Celia Lian Cotter (Lian can mean graceful willow)

Sofia Lien Cotter (nah, too overused)

Lian Xi (shē-i)(means loved lotus)

Sumey (soomee)(means flower) or Sumei (soomay)

Joe's terrible list of names:
