Knitting for Baby

Back to Home

As you may have guessed or you know me too well, I love to knit. During this terrible waiting for our little Ellery, I'm pacifying myself by knitting her lots of goodies.
I neeeed a better camera!!

You can't tell very well but this swing style top and bloomers have rosettes on the front and rump.

Yarn: Microspun Apple Red Pattern: None

Tank top with white ribbons made to match these cotton plaid capris.

Yarn: Microspun Lime Pattern: None

Raglan sleeve dress, so snuggly, reminds me of old flannel nightgowns.

Yarn: Cottontots  White Pattern: None

Cotton smock with diamonds & cables. First thing I made when we decided to adopt, it's the prettiest natural color, the pattern came from my local library, small town but still some good knit books. Still need to make a hat for it.

Yarn: Knitpicks Shine Pattern: Debbie Bliss

Cotton cardigan, & hat with crocheted mary janes. I enjoyed working on this one, the colors are so fun. The flowers are quick embroidery, I hadn't learned to knit fair isle yet. The shoes are pictured better below.

Yarn: Knitpicks Shine Pattern: None

Raglan sleeve chenille sacque with novelty yarn accents & hat made to match lilac cotton pants. I'm not much into fluffy yarns but I liked the colors in this one.

Yarn: Chenille Dream Baby? Lionbrand Watercolors Pattern: None

Ok so not knitted.. BUT, Maureen made this 3 pc set for Ellery a couple months ago and it is precious. The top curves around and crosses in back like the ones I wore back in the 70's, too cute!!

Fabric: Cotton ladybugs & strawberries

Yah, I know, not knitted but I crochet too and I need diversity :) This sun top was made to match both these pairs of panties, and the shoes are pictured better below, this yarn is cotton from Patternworks and feels great to work with.

Yarn: DK Wildflowers Pattern: None

I fell in love with this yarn and needed to find something to make with it...I have shoes too, but they are not quite finished. This is crocheted netting, and the top is cinched in with orange stretchy grosgrain ribbon.

Yarn: Novelty soft nylon ribbon Pattern: None

Same thing as to the left, but  knitted in satiny ribbon.

Yarn: Shiny Novelty ribbon Pattern: None

My favorite style of baby shoes, I've made MANY of these for charity.

Yarn: DK Wildflowers Pattern: None

More of these shoes, trying to show the sides and style. I don't like booties  or shoes that don't have a sole, these have a flat sole with more of a maryjane shape.
